(6:30pm doors open) at the Rialto Theater in Raleigh, NC!

PosterThanks to The Humane Society of the United States – North Carolina, DBD is headed to NC to help educate and support HB 159 (The Commercial Dog Breeder Bill) and particularly important for us, show our support for Governor McCrory’s veto of the “Ag Gag bill (HB 405).”

Tickets are $20 and will ONLY be available at the door on the night of the screening.

DBD Director Christopher E. Grimes“Ag-Gag bills such as HB 405 would have a suffocating effect on the work of documentary filmmakers that often rely on legitimate whistleblowers to expose wrongdoing. This is not just about exposing the abuse of animals, but would apply to any business, including nursing homes and privately run mental health facilities. We are thrilled to bring DBD to Raleigh at this important time.”

The NC House is attempting to override the veto of the “Ag-Gag bill” and HB 159 (The Commercial Dog Breeder Bill) is stalled in the Senate. We can’t think of a better time to bring DOG BY DOG to the state capital.

DBD Director Christopher E. Grimes will be attending the screening and we hope to have a good showing of legislators and law-enforcement officials at this screening. If you are around Raleigh-Durham, please join us for this special screening.
